Resell Shoes
This could be a great business if you get it off the ground. A Lot of people look down on people who buy expensive shoes, but many people sell those shoes after wearing them a couple of times. Companies only make a certain amount of shoes and the price usually jumps up after a couple of months.
Teach a Foreign Language
If you grew up learning more than one language then you can use it to get some money. A Lot of people are trying to learn different languages and you can be the bridge to help them. Tell them you will tutor them for a fee.
Teach English
Likewise, a lot of people are trying to perfect their craft in English. You could sign up for different websites that will pay you to teach people English.
Use Fetch Rewards
This is an app that pays you to do something that you’re already doing. This app lets you scan receipts for things that you buy, you then get points and for those points you can trade it in for gift cards.
Advertising on Your Car
If you are of driving age and are lucky enough to have a vehicle. Then you could be making money just by allowing a company to advertise on your car.
Charging Scooters
There are a bunch of different scooter companies out there that will allow people to rent scooters to drive around the city. But the money comes in when these bad boys run out of battery. They will pay you to pick the scooters up and charge them during the night, and also put them out in the morning.
Fiverr Gigs
If you have a skill, or a talent that you can use you should try Fiverr in order to get paid to do a service. Most jobs start at 5 dollars and go up from there. This can be anything from creating customized songs, to pulling data for companies. I suggest going there and browsing to see what all is offered.
Upwork
This is a similar site to Fiverr, but you will usually find more complex or intricate jobs on this site. Anything from Virtual Assistants to teaching music lessons. These jobs and hobbies are at a higher level than Fiverr.
Etsy
This website is mainly for people selling arts and crafts. A Lot of people go to Etsy to connect to small businesses that are not local to them. I personally buy customized things that I cannot find on amazon or other big box brands.
Baby Sitting
This one is pretty self explanatory, if you are good with kids and want to make some extra money. Find some families or couples that need a babysitter. This is one of the easiest ways to earn a check.
House Sitter
This is even easier than babysitting. When families are out of town for an extended period of time they would like people to check up on their house. Water Plants. Dust around. Make sure nothing else is going wrong. Pretty simple right?
Tutoring Grade School Kids
Since you are in college you should have a lot of knowledge of how to pass high school classes. You can connect with a local high school and offer your services to them to help students who need that extra push to pass those classes.
Food Delivery Driver
If you have a car and need help paying for gas then you can join the many food delivery apps that are out there. They will pay you to run around and pick up food for people. It’s simple and you don’t really have to interact with a lot of people.
Do Homework for Other Students
If you want to make more lucrative money. You can complete some of the homework or project for other students and charge them to do it. This can be a great job because you can charge whatever you want.
Selling Stock Photos
This money making job is pretty simple. If you have an eye for pictures you can take them with your phone, and sell them to a website that hosts stock photos.
Invest in the Stock Market
Please, Please, Please. Be careful if you choose to take this route. You can make some good money by investing in the stock market. But statistically speaking you will lose a lot more money. It just depends on how you go about it.
Invest in the Forex
The same statement is going to be said about investing in Forex. Although I do invest in Forex. I suggest you get the proper guidance before you step out on faith and bet it all on EUR/USD.
Invest in the Crypto
This is the newest thing out there. And I wouldn’t be right if I didn’t add it to the list. This one is probably the easiest out of the three to get into. But you have to find a coin or a token that you understand before you invest. There are a lot of scammers out there for this one.
Become a Lifeguard
This job here is going to take some skill to get into, but once you get into it you will make good money for a while. There are a lot of pools out there. Find the pools that have lifeguards and ask them how to become one. There are usually tests that you have to pass in order to be considered.
Teach Music
If you are in the band or are musically inclined, you can make some good money teaching music to those younger or those who simply want to learn.
Be a Camp Counselor
During the summer when the kids are out of school most summer camps have to house them. Those camps need people to run them. They often look for high schoolers to hire in order to help run the programs during the day.
Take Online Surveys
There are a couple of sites that will pay you to take online surveys. Companies sometimes like to test out surveys before they launch them on a wide scale. They also will pay you to leave a real review and survey sometimes. So check it out.
Become a Virtual Assistant
You can do this by going to Upwork, or you can find some positions that are open on craigslist. These are usually part time gigs, and you would have to do anything from setting up someone’s calendar to answering phone calls for this small business.
Manage Social Media For a Small Business
In order for a business to be successful in today’s time they need to have a pretty good social media presence. Being a young person this can be something that you can help small businesses get better at. Just search for local businesses that do not have social media. And simply ask them if they want to hire you as their social media manager. Most of the time it’s doing something simple like posting everyday.
Secret Shopper
This one is pretty interesting because you have to go through a screening process to be accepted. But once you are accepted you can go to various stores and they will give you tasks to complete. And you have to complete those tasks without being suspicious or being caught by the employees. They will either pay you an amount or you get a free meal out of it.
Start a Podcast
This one can be kind of time consuming, but if you want to get paid to speak your mind then it might be worth the effort. Most of the time starting a podcast is free. But you will need a quality microphone to give the aesthetic that you need. If your podcast makes it big you can start to leverage the audience that you bring and get sponsorships.
Rent Your Car
This hustle is pretty cool. If you are living on campus then you aren’t really using your car a lot. There are apps that will allow people to rent your car for a set amount of time. This can put money in your pockets for not really any work. I would say that you have to understand the risk of this as your vehicle could be damaged.
Be Apart of a Focus Group
If you are on campus more than likely have this opportunity in your hand. A Lot of schools are conducting focus groups for their class or project or even their degree. And when you participate in these groups they compensate you for your time.
Be Apart of a Research Group
This is different from a focus group as it usually takes more time. They will ask you to take a supplement, or do a certain thing during your day. It takes more than one visit to complete. But on the plus side you are getting compensated for all of the things you have to do.
Be a Personal Trainer
This side hustle will take some dedication, but once you obtain it it can keep paying you for life. You have to become certified first, then you have to start working at a gym. With the permission of the owner you can start seeing clients and making money.
