An influencer is somebody that can earn money simply for posting on a social media website. I’m not going to say it’s an easy job because it takes a lot of effort and work to get and build an audience. but once you have that audience and that platform you are able to make a very comfortable living. so I’m going to help you become an influencer in less than 10 minutes
Find a Niche
First you have to find a niche. A niche is a category that will be the overarching theme of your content and channel. Some of the most popular niches are beauty, health, wealth, and technology. But there are literally hundreds of thousands of niches you can get into.
My advice would be to find a niche that you are very passionate about or one that already coincides with your everyday life. For example, if you like to work out everyday then maybe your niche should be a workout channel or healthy living or healthy eating. That way it won’t be as much work as it would be just a regular routine added to your day.
Pick a Social Media Site
The next step would be to pick a social media website. There are hundreds of websites that you can choose from but what I would recommend is to choose some of the top sites that are popular on the internet today. TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, or Twitter. These top sites will allow you to build an audience on one and once you have a solid following you can then transfer or add more audiences on the other social media websites.
I will put all my focus on just one as you are just starting out. Each site has different perks as well as drawbacks, so make sure you do your research and pick the one that’s best for the content that you want to post.
Be Consistent
This next step is where a lot of people lose. Some people who seek out to be an influencer only want to do it for the idea of getting rich quick. But that is simply not the case. Yes there are some overnight internet sensations and people who go viral off of one video but the likelihood of that happening is slim to none.
So what you’re going to have to do is consistently post for at least a year, more likely two or three years. What this will do will allow you to build a solid audience that generally likes the content that you post. An organic audience is what most companies want when they are looking for partnerships so make sure you’re consistent in your posting and you don’t give up.
Network
The last step is networking. In order to really make money with being an influencer you need to be able to network with other influencers as well as agents and companies.
This is important because these agents or companies will be able to know what kind of content you post as well as see the metrics for your audiences. If they deem you worthy they will give you a sponsorship with a post or a few posts or even taking a step further and you will work with them on a more consistent basis.
Make sure you do all the legal work before so you can understand what you can and cannot post as well as who you can and cannot work for. I have seen people get burned before by one company because they signed a contract too soon and were banned from working with other companies while on contract with this one company.
