If you are like me you like peach cobbler. I try to reserve the traditional peach cobbler to my sister as she is the one honing that craft. I still had a craving for it. So enter Deep Fried Peach Cobbler. It’s like carnival food and soul food had a love child.  

 This recipe was inspired by @eatwitzo on TikTok.

Ingredients 

  • 29oz Canned Sliced Peaches
  • ½ stick of Butter
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar 
  • ½ cup White Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 12 oz Wonton Wrappers 

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in Deep Fryer.
  2. Drain Juice from Peach can.
  3. Dice Peaches into 1 inch Cubes, set aside.
  4. Add Butter to the Skillet.
  5. When Butter is Melted add Diced Peaches.
  6. Add Brown sugar, White sugar, Cinnamon. Nutmeg, and Vanilla Extra to Peaches.
  7. Cook until the Sauce is Brown and Thickened up.
  8. Allow the Mixture to Chill Completely.
  9. Grab a wonton and place a teaspoon amount of mixture on it. 
  10. Grab another wonton and place on top of the other. 
  11. Curl the edges and press with a fork to ensure the mixture does not burst out. 
  12. Freeze the Wontons for 10 minutes before frying. 
  13. Drop the wontons in the hot oil for about 2 minutes or until they start to float.

Rob’s Opinion 

I decided to start posting the different dishes and recipes that I cook during the week because one, I’ve been told I’m a pretty good cook. And two, I’m tired of finding recipes only to have to scroll through all of the unnecessary stuff to get to the ingredients and the steps to make the food. Not to mention the mountain of ads that pop up. 

The recipes that I post on this blog are all recipes that I have cooked. So I will make sure I let you all in on what I do to the dish to enhance its flavors and truly make it one of a kind.
