One of the biggest complaints that I hear from people that want to build multiple streams of income is that they don’t have the time to work on a side job. Most of the people around the world are usually working for 8 or more hours a day.

That takes a third of your day away, and not to mention the other obligations that you have outside of work, like school, kids, organizations you are involved in.

I am going to help you eliminate that excuse with this post. I am going to give you a list of Side Hustles that you can start while you have a full time job. These jobs are those that you can work on a couple of hours a day.

Sell on Marketplace

This is going to be your favorite thing to do if you have stuff around the house that you don’t use anymore. Just go to Facebook and list them for a price on the Marketplace. You can even check the prices for people selling the same thing to get an idea of what you should list your things for. This is something that would not take a lot of time to do. When you get home, snap a pic and enter a price.

Resell Clothes

This could be a great business if you get it off the ground. When there are expensive shoes, clothes, or rare items being sold you should buy a couple of them. Once they are all sold the price will skyrocket due to there being a limited supply

Fiverr Gigs

If you have a skill, or a talent that you can use you should try Fiverr in order to get paid to do a service. Most jobs start at 5 dollars and go up from there. This can be anything from creating customized songs, to pulling data for companies. I suggest going there and browsing to see what all is offered.

Upwork

This is a similar site to Fiverr, but you will usually find more complex or intricate jobs on this site. Anything from Virtual Assistants to teaching music lessons. These jobs and hobbies are at a higher level than Fiverr.

Become a Virtual Assistant

You can do this by going to Upwork, or you can find some positions that are open on craiglist. These are usually part time gigs, and you would have to do anything from setting up someone’s calendar to answering phone calls for this small business.

Manage Social Media For a Small Business

In order for a business to be successful in today’s time they need to have a pretty good social media presence. Just search for local businesses that do not have social media. And simply ask them if they want to hire you as their social media manager. Most of the time it’s doing something simple like posting everyday.

Take Online Surveys

There are a couple of sites that will pay you to take online surveys. Companies sometimes like to test out surveys before they launch them on a wide scale. They also will pay you to leave a real review and survey sometimes. So check it out.

Tutoring

This can be anything from common subjects at school, to being a life coach, financial advisor, or tutoring in music. You can market yourself on LinkedIn, and other sites that host jobs. The best way to do this is to create free content either on YouTube or other social media sites.

Teach English

There are a lot of people who are trying to perfect their craft in English. You could sign up for different websites that will pay you to teach people English. It’s something that you do everyday. So this is cake.

Food Delivery Driver

When you get off of work you can start delivering food in your area. There are many food delivery apps that are out there. You have the option to select your own hours so it is something that adds flexibility to your routine.

Pet Sitting or Pet Grooming

This is something that would be slightly difficult to do during your off time, but it can still be done. Many families simply don’t have the time to properly groom their pet. So you could start a mobile pet grooming business. Likewise, when families go out of town, they need people to watch their pet. That is something you could assist with, being that you don’t spend too much time at work.

Dog Walking

If you already have a dog then you could take other neighbors dogs on a walk when you take your dog. This would be something that you are already doing and you will get paid to play with dogs. Who doesn’t love that?

Secret Shopper

This one is pretty interesting because you have to go through a screening process to be accepted. But once you are accepted you can go to various stores and they will give you tasks to complete. And you have to complete those tasks without being suspicious or being caught by the employees. They will either pay you an amount or you get a free meal out of it.

Charging Scooters

There are a bunch of different scooter companies out there that will allow people to rent scooters to drive around the city. But the money comes in when these bad boys run out of battery. They will pay you to pick the scooters up and charge them during the night, and also put them out in the morning.

Start a Drop Shipping Business

This is basically having a store but not keeping the product with you. Once you get an order you inform your third party supplier and they ship the product to the consumer. This business venture is something that is going to take some time to start. But it will be well worth it once it starts to take off.

Rob’s Opinion

The biggest thing is that you have to be consistent. Since you are working on this side hustle part time, it is going to take longer for you to get it off of the ground. And even longer for it to replace your full time job.

People always look for a quick buck, but the best thing that you can do is find something that is sustainable. You need to find something that is going to pay you forever. Head over to my Wealth Building Playlist to see what taking real long lasting actions can do for you and your future.
