If you are working a 9 to 5 and have other obligations outside of work, you might only have free time in the middle of the night. There aren’t many things you can do in the middle of the night, but for some people that is the best time to work.
So for those brave ninjas out there I have put together a list of my favorite side hustles to have if you are working the midnight shift.
Become a Virtual Assistant
While half of the world is asleep, the other half is awake. You can become a Virtual Assistant (VA) for someone who leaves on the other side of the world. Or you could be a Virtual Assistant for someone that lives in the same country as you. You could work on things while they are asleep. These are usually part time gigs, and you would have to do anything from setting up someone’s calendar to answering phone calls for this small business.
Food Delivery Driver
If you have a car you can deliver food in the middle of the night, especially during the weekend. Many apps will pay you to run around and pick up food for people. And the graveyard shift can be extremely profitable.
Teach a Foreign Language
If you grew up learning more than one language then you can use it to get some money. A Lot of people are trying to learn different languages and you can be the bridge to help them. Many websites will connect you to people who are trying to learn said language.
Teach English
Likewise, a lot of people are trying to perfect their craft in English. You could sign up for different websites that will pay you to teach people English.
Etsy
This website is mainly for people selling arts and crafts. A Lot of people go to Etsy to connect to small businesses that are not local to them. I personally buy customized things that I cannot find on amazon or other big box brands.
Take Online Surveys
There are a couple of sites that will pay you to take online surveys. Companies sometimes like to test out surveys before they launch them on a wide scale. They also will pay you to leave a real review and survey sometimes. So check it out.
Tutoring
This can be anything from common subjects at school, to being a life coach, financial advisor, or tutoring in music. You can market yourself on LinkedIn, and other sites that host jobs. The best way to do this is to create free content either on YouTube or other social media sites.
Start a Podcast
This one can be kind of time consuming, but if you want to get paid to speak your mind then it might be worth the effort. Most of the time starting a podcast is free. But you will need a quality microphone to give the aesthetic that you need. If your podcast makes it big you can start to leverage the audience that you bring and get sponsorships.
Charging Scooters
There are a bunch of different scooter companies out there that will allow people to rent scooters to drive around the city. But the money comes in when these bad boys run out of battery. They will pay you to pick the scooters up and charge them during the night, and also put them out in the morning.
Invest in the Forex
Please, Please, Please. Be careful if you choose to take this route. You can make some good money by investing in the Forex, especially since it never closes during the week. But statistically speaking you will lose a lot more money. I suggest you get the proper guidance before you step out on faith and bet it all on EUR/USD.
Rob’s Opinion
If you enjoyed this post please comment down below. And if you have other side hustles that you work on during the late night hours, let the people know with a comment.
These can give you some good money but most of the time it’s not going to be sustainable. I understand only having a limited amount of time to work on your side hustle. But what I suggest is to go to my Wealth Building Playlist. Here you are going to find detailed posts that tell you what you need to do in your everyday life to build wealth.
